The CEO/Managing Director Joan Ferreira-Dallas (MSc Taxation, MSc Accounting, MBA, CA, CITA, FAAFM), is a Chartered Accountant, an International Taxation Analyst and a former Revenue Agent at Tax Administration Jamaica, who applies her skills and knowledge in the areas of business, accounting and taxation to guide her clients on how to legally minimize their taxes and remain tax compliant. She has been an annual contributor to the World Bank Flagship Doing Business Report.

Abtax Ltd. has departments adequately staffed with qualified professionals to carry out independent services (Payroll, Accounting, Audit Services, Taxation services and Business services Departments). We are also Business Development Organization for the Development Bank of Jamaica (DBJ) and EXIM Bank with the Voucher for Technical Assistance (VTA) Program geared towards capacity building for SME’s. This may involve among other things, preparation of Financial Statements and Business and Marketing Plans.

Joan J. Ferreira-Dallas (MSc. Accounting, MSc Taxation, MBA Finance, CA, CITA, FAAFM) worked with the Revenue Department for over 15 years as Tax Auditor and was trained as a Revenue Agent. She operates her own private Accounting & Taxation Consultancy business. A graduate of Nova Southeastern University with a MSc Taxation, MSc Accounting, (both UWI) MBA degree (Finance specialization-Nova Southeastern University), and a BSc. Degree from UWI Mona specializing in Economics & Management. She qualified as a Chartered Accountant –associate, (CA) , Certified International Taxation Analyst (CITA) and was awarded Fellow of the American Association of Financial Management (FAAFM). She has also recently completed a certificate in Forensic Accounting through the ICAJ. She brings a fresh approach to accounting & Taxation services.
